This fall, KAF is bringing a selection of the iconic photos of the Chinese artist Liu Bolin to the Netherlands under the title Liu Bolin: Moving Images. Bolin – also known as “The Invisible Man” or the Chameleon artist – depicts impressive stories about current global themes and the relationship between people and the environment. He does this by means of photos in which he is invisible at first sight. In this way, he forces the visitor to look better, to look longer and to constantly discover new details.
Liu Bolin’s work has been exhibited all over the world and is now on display for the first time in the Netherlands, in a selection of 24 photos from different phases of Bolin’s life. To provide insight into how his work comes about, video footage of his work process is also shown, as well as an original costume that has been used for one of his photos.
